Posters are up!
We've spent a great amount of time trying to make the perfect layout for the poster. It was difficult finding the right "phrase," picture, as well as finding the correct composition, but alas, we took the main factors that would capture people's attention into consideration, and assembled it onto the posters. These factors were:
- Colours - highlighting the contrast between two colours. Moreover, a red background sticks out.
- Composition - Isn't it obvious that a big, fat communist symbol would capture someone's attention (especially in Kungsholmen)? Nothing more, nothing less, and it will make people wonder what the hell is going on. Furthermore, we think simple posters are the best and they look a tad more elegant.
- Text - Finding the write headline for the posters was tricky, but we knew that it should be short and simple. Back to the USSR? seemed suitable. It's a question that would make people think, especially with the on-going Putin-Russia controversy occurring.
You might've noticed that our main objective with the posters was to be quite mysterious and not reveal too much, hence the small-sized text at the bottom, clarifying it's for Shakespeare Day. We were actually somewhat worried at first, that this would be considered propaganda of some sort so we took it upon us to ask the principal, Ms. Brunman, and fortunately, she informed us it was okay.
Soon enough, you'll find these posters all over Kungsholmens Gymnasium!
